Kathy is a New Jersey girl having lived there her whole life (and no, she does not pronounce it "joy-z"! She actually speaks quite normally, thank you : - ) !) She is married, with 3 children, the youngest of which is in his senior year of college so she and her husband are looking forward to celebrating being tuition free very soon. Having put all 3 children through private school as well as college, they are more than ready!

Kathy is an elementary school teacher in the private school system her children attended, currently teaching second grade.

Although Kathy gets to teach a little bit of everything at the elementary level, her passion is history and she spends as much time as possible reading it. She particularly enjoys American history from the time period of the Civil War. Ask her what she is currently reading and you will most likely be told it is something to do with a certain general or particular battle. One of her favorite authors on the subject is Bruce Catton and she would recommend his writings to anyone who might be interested in learning more about the war and the men who served in it.

Since the American cowboy thrived at this same time period it is no wonder they have also always captured her interest and imagination. She grew up watching and loving westerns on television and found her favorite in Lancer. She's delighted to hav found the various sites devoted to this show and it's wonderful characters and looks forward to being part of them for a long time to come.
